Crozier Gala
On April 19, 2008 The Catholic Community Foundation's annual fundraising event, The Crozier Gala, marked its' 20th Anniversary with a black-tie soiree at the Camelback Inn, Scottsdale. At this year's celebration, Chaired by Colleen Will, a parishioner at St. Thomas the Apostle and fashioned by her talented Committee of more than 40 volunteers, all past Chairwomen of the Gala were recognized with an on-stage champagne toast as part of the evening's festivities. 730 people attended including all 11 of the Foundation's former Chairmen of the Board and Bishop Thomas J. O'Brien who founded the organization 25 years ago. The elegant, Italian-themed evening included an inspiring address by 2004 Christian Service Award recipient Kimberly Roland, a senior at Bourgade Catholic High School and honored Catholic Philanthropists Bruce and Diane Halle.
