Apply For a Grant
Thank you for your interest in the Catholic Community Foundation’s competitive grants program. Since inception, the Foundation has funded competitive grants totaling over $5 million to support important charitable work in Arizona. Each year numerous applications are received requesting funds to assist with tuition for Catholic education, expansion of pastoral ministries within the Diocese of Phoenix, and/or promotion of the Catholic ministry through various forms of media. Led by the Catholic Community Foundation’s Board of Directors, composed of clergy and laity, the volunteer Grants Committee carefully reviews each application and attempts to award funds in areas where the greatest need can be met in the most efficient way possible.

The Catholic Community Foundation offers grants in three categories:
Who Can Apply:
Catholic schools and parishes within the Diocese of Phoenix or any Catholic non-profit organization registered in the state of Arizona may apply.
General Grant Requirements:
• Applicant must be a registered 501 (C)(3) charity in Arizona.
• Grant recipients must consent to signing a photo/video release.
*Each grant category may also have grant-specific requirements.
Please note for all grants:
• Grant monies must be used for the purpose for which funds were applied and approved.
• Requests for funding of salaries and capital improvements do not qualify for grant monies.
• Due to the finite amount of grant monies available, not all proposals can be funded.
• Funding in the past does not guarantee continued funding.
• Lack of funding in the past does not indicate that funding will not be possible in future years.

Christian Service Awards
These unique awards recognize students who exhibit extraordinary Christ-centered behavior through volunteer service to their parishes, schools, and communities and are offered by the Catholic Community Foundation. We hope that you will take a moment to consider ideal candidates and encourage them to apply.
Any practicing Catholic 8th grade student, registered in the Diocese of Phoenix, who plans to attend a Catholic high school, can apply for an $8,000 award.

Special Interest Scholarships
The Catholic Community Foundation offers almost half a million dollars in scholarship opportunities each year. Some awards are based on merit or financial need, while others are focused on students within a specific geographic location or demographic group.
The Foundation values and encourages the interest and involvement of donors in establishing these scholarship awards. Such involvement may include naming a scholarship, selection of scholarship criteria and selection of the school or parish that a recipient may currently attend.
Our donors create scholarships for different reasons–perhaps to honor the memory of loved ones, to support areas of personal interest such as science and engineering or to assist students who are the first in their families to attend college. Our various scholarships currently benefit students from high school to university level.
